FIBER GLASS STEERING WHEEL REFIT FOR DUFOUR 460

The helm on this Dufour 460 has been changed to a white fibreglass composite model that blends in better with the boat.

The weight, which is 2 to 3 times less than with the standard stainless steel wheel helm, means that the steering system is less inertial when the autopilot is in use, especially as today's production boats all have 2 steering wheels. Depending on the sea conditions, the autopilot will work jerkily and will therefore be affected by the inertia of the steering system. The lighter the helm, the less fatigue the autopilot will experience.

The shape and larger cross-section of the tiller make it much easier and more pleasant to hold (excellent grip, no more need for leather for a pleasant feel).

Available in 4 different models: Y Elegant, Y Sport, 3-spoke, 5-spoke.
